- September, as usual, is bringing ideal climatic conditions for pineapple production
- Sparse showers brought 17.2 mm (less than 3/4 of an inch) of precipitation
- Air and soil temperatures remained stable – the minimum average air temperature reached 22,9°C (73,3°F)
- Tthe average was 27°C (80.6°F) and soil temperature reached 28°C (82,4°F).
- Relative humidity rose to 85,6 %.
- Harvest age decreased slightly – 81.8% harvested at 21 WAF; 14,4% at 22 WAF and 3,9 % at 20 WAF.
- Natural fruit represented 4,8% of the total.
- Sugar content was slightly lower with a significant decrease in the volume of fruit with brix greater than 15.5
- The firmness of the pulp had a significant improvement
- Fruit with psi less than 2.5 declined to 20.6 %; minimum measurement was 2.3 psi; average 3,3 psi and maximum was 4,9 psi.
- New cases of Covid 19 continued to rise – 15.729 cases were reported.
- The farms reached 97% of the workforce vaccinated and new cases of Covid 19 are very low.
