- Hurricane Iota brought unexpected good climatic conditions to the Caribbean coast -scattered drizzles with:
- 9.4 mm (0.33 inches) of precipitation recorded
- Stable air and soil temperatures, moderate solar radiation and even lower humidity (81.9%)
- Unfortunately for other Central American countries this second hurricane in as many weeks caused severe damage
- Quality is stable and good with the exception of external color which is difficult to obtain during the transition to the rainy season.
- Land preparation and all other scheduled good husbandry practices returned to normalcy
- Volume harvested is on the rise to meet holiday demand.
- Coronavirus cases in Costa Rica rose by 7% from prior week
