An abrupt change in weather due to Hurricane Nate brought 122 mm (4.9 inches) of precipitation, however the Atlantic and Northern regions of Costa Rica where Chestnut Hill Farms resides were spared the brunt of this storm. Areas on the Pacific Coast opposite of our farms had rainfall totaling 278 mm (11 inches) in a 24 hour period, however, causing mudslides and washed out roads and bridges.
