It’s that time of year again. Yes, the holidays are here. (Or, as we like to call it, “high demand season.”) And demand is in fact picking up. So what’s going on at the farm while we work toward shipping our product? November’s typical climatic conditions have finally moved into the area, but are still very manageable.
We received light to moderate daily showers, accumulating 124.1 mm (almost 5 inches) of rainfall. That’s a huge change from the half inch received last week. While drastic change can bring on stress to the pineapple plants and trigger natural flowering (NDF), we do not believe that the present conditions are strong enough to bring on such an event. All in all, we welcome the delay of climatic conditions that typically develop during the last two months of the year.
