Week 41 went full circle from last week’s sporadic, day-long shower. Instead, this week received only 46.6 mm (1.8 inches) of total precipitation. However, since the rain was persistent, low intensity showers continued throughout the week. And yet, while the quantity was low, the persistent showers kept the soil moist and made advancing agricultural operations more difficult.
These El Niño conditions continue to make September & October wetter than usual. In fact, a new tropical wave has been announced to hit the region by the middle of Week 42.
