Mother Nature finally gave us a break! After months of downpour, we finally received a reprieve from the heavy rains. Precipitation has subsided substantially with zero rainfall reported into the first half of the week. The drier conditions have allowed us to return to implementing agricultural practices that can readily fall behind because heavy machinery is unable to enter fields upon such rainy conditions. Aromas and flavors remain at a very acceptable standard.
On a general market side note: distant markets have been reporting “brown crowns” that mostly occurs at this time of the year. Our blog series features this very topic – check it out here.
