The end of February usually marks the beginning of a transition from the annual rainy season to a much anticipated drier time of the year. And while rains subsided this week to nearly half the precipitation of last week’s downpour, we can still note more abundant rains and colder temperatures than usual for this month on average.
You can believe that the cold fronts affecting the northern hemisphere have something to do with the changes! Normally, November and December are the months to look out for when it comes to stress causing conditions, however, given this year’s record weather patterns, late winter is showing to be much more severe. Advanced NDF-caused peak in production is expected.
Yet, aromas and flavors remain at a very acceptable standard, while no issues in quality at packing plant level have been reported.
