Down at the farms, pineapple production reaches September’s finish line with a solid, strong finale – managing a return to updated schedules in field work and an increase in product quality.
While Week 37 brought a slight increase in rains, Week 38’s well-distributed precipitation and lowered sun intensity evened out the two-week period producing overall, favorable climatic conditions.
Harvest age was increased slightly, resulting in improvement in sugar content, internal maturity and projected volume increases – just in time for upcoming demand of the holiday season.
