Chestnut Hill Farms is located in Costa Rica, just over the hill from Tortuguero National Park, or the “Costa Rican Amazon”. With abundant rainfall each year, our farms are able to thrive in this lush environment that supports a variety of wildlife. Chestnut Hill Farms maintains over 275 hectares of forest reserve, which serves as a home to three species of monkeys, the three-toed sloth, many classes of birds including toucans and parrots, deer, wild turkey and jaguars.

Pineapples Make List of Most Healthy 15 Foods
CNN Names Pineapples as Top Clean Food
Pineapple has been named one of the top pesticide-free foods by CNN, and is at the top of the “Clean 15” of fruits and vegetables.
According to CNN, avocados lead clean fruits and veggies list, followed by sweet corn, pineapples, cabbage, onions, frozen sweet peas, papayas, asparagus, mangoes, eggplant, honeydew melon, kiwi, cantaloupe, cauliflower and broccoli. In addition to pineapple’s many health benefits, eating fruits that are less exposed to pesticides can reduce your exposure to cancer-causing chemicals.
